Global Warming is increase in the average temperature. The term "global warming" is a specific example of global climate change. It is result of environment pollution especially air pollution. Global warming increase the temperature of air and oceans this increase make the ice melt on the in the North Pole and in the South Pole. Plant smoke and forest fire are some of examples of air pollution. These smokes make layer and make earth like glass house. That makes the climate very hot. Global warming causes to weather events like floods, draughts, heat waves and tornadoes. Also the change of the sea level will make same area in the next 20 years disappear. In November 2007, the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Center for a New American Security published a report highlighting the national security effects of climate change. Finally this is government’s responsibility that they make roles and punish the contrary.

Al Gore speech

Alpert Arnold AL Gore he was born on March 31, 1948. He was the forty-fifth Vice President of the United States. He was candidacy on 2000 to be the president of U.S.

After he lost election to his adversary Georg W Bush he tries to withdraw from politics. He turned his activates to show the dangers of global warming and green house.

Al Gore was one of the first famous characters who devoted himself to alert the world from the encompassing disastrous. He brings people to attention to act fast in limiting the emission of carbon dioxide.

Al Gore alert people radiation of CO2 and this alert contain graphs when the heat in our world increase the co2 increases to. The temperature of the oceans around the world increase and this cause catastrophe. Ice melting will cause disappear of same cities and island around the world because the see level will increase. Ice melting in Himalaya Mountain will cause diminution of water on the country which are around it like China, India and Afghanistan. This area has 40% of world population. Melting of ice in Greenland this is make the situation get worst start with animal death and increase see level.

Population increases which assign the world start with provide food and fresh water for drink and source of energy. America started helping the community by using other sources of energy. The truth that is not convenient is that we are the main cause of al this.

My opinion

In my opinion this movie talks about difficult and fateful cause in the world which is global warming. This obstacle that face world it makes people think about future and the revival of green gas house which threaten our lives. Al Gore alert nation about the earth and what is need to deliverance world from disaster. . I liked the fact that in this movie Al Gore gives us a scientific proof after every point or problem he mentioned and that makes no doubt that we are causing this problem. One of the important problems that is possibility of return ice ages. Really this movie changes my mind about the global warming and makes me think about the disaster if global warming still increased. At the end of presentation he gives the solution but it’s not enough. For finding a solution to this issue we must study the problem wisely to make sure it will never affect us or our economy.

Carbon footprint

Carbon footprint is defined as a measure of the exclusive total amount of carbon dioxide emissions that is directly and indirectly caused by an activity or is accumulated over the lift stage of a product. I calculate my "carbon footprint" by using this web http://footprint.wwf.org.uk/ and I got an average of 8.705 which means that I'm below the UK average, and the survey goes like this: 20% for food, 22% for travel, 30% for home and 28% for stuff. Now I'm going to mention some of my carbon footprint problems and offer some solutions.

First, one of mine is that I use my car many times during a day. Even it is small and does not pollute as much as most cars, this still contributes to atmospheric pollution.

Furthermore, I always buy many household items like; mobile phones, mp3 players, TVs and many others. That means wasting a lot of materials and then maybe throwing them away. As a result, that garbage is burned which badly effects the environment.

A final problem is that I and my family use electricity too much, so we are wasting this energy source. However, this is non-renewable source, so it is temporary.

Now let's turn to solutions. For the first problem, maybe I could reduce the hours I use the car by planning exactly where I have to go. I could also go to college with my brother because one car is better than two cars. Or I can use public transportations to decrease carbon revival.

Second, I have to reduce buying household items. For example, I usually buy a new mobile phone every year. Also use manual tools to prepare juices and food

Last, I have already begun to reduce using electricity by switching off the lights when I leave even for a little while, and now I use some air conditions instead of using them all and I watch TV with my family instead of alone.

In summary, these are some of my carbon footprint problems and the solutions offered are the best ways to reduce the problems in my opinion. In fact, we know that as the atmospheric carbon dioxide levels rise so dose atmospheric temperature, which we name it global warming, and because of that carbon footprint created to reduce the consumption of non-renewable energy, food, Technology items and so on.

Cool Cities

In the world the rate of pollution is getting higher each day and the global warming situation is getting worse. Global warming is causing a lot of problems and has become the most threaten thing in the world. The people all over the world is starting to recognize the situation and try to reduce the rate of pollution. The latest way of saving the planet is by creating cool cities. A cool city is a city with out pollution or so less CO2. Create a cool city in your imagination what do you think it will look like? Abu Dhabi is going to be the first to create such a city. In my blog I am going to write about global worming and cool cities. Also I am going to write about our carbon footprints in detail. I will use critical thinking to write this research and will try to offer the best information that I will get from many sources.

Most of emissions are from buildings and transportation, so as a result a new project was brought which is the building of Cool city. Cool city is an ideal and model city of technology and knowledge gathered from the SDCG expertise. This city will operate on natural energies, such as it will present solar ships, hybrid cars, light rail transit, and monorail as transportation. It will also meet the requirements of the residents and visitors by having a business, sport, resort zones and a Jatropha forests, last but not least it will contain power plant farms. This cities heat managing will be unique, where they will manage heat by water, planting trees, roof membrane and the usage of recycled cool air.

As a result the buildings will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 60%, where the echo towers will reduce 50% and the echo residences will reduce carbon emissions to 30%. This is a great project to prove that technology can be used in solving problems, and maybe in the near future we will find a way to stop global warming.
